About Phil & Home On The Range Golf

As Owner and Operator of Home on the Range Golf Practice Center for 22 years, Phil Green has run over

100 junior golf program in schools, at local parks, at Home on the Range, as well as other golf facilities in

Northern California.


Phil's "Free Clubs for Beginners" program has brought clubs and bags to over 500 juniors golfers. He

currently runs a PGA Sports Academy, Get Golf Ready, and Placer Nevada Junior Tour and has partnered

up with the Auburn Recreation District to serve 4 to 9 year olds at golf camps and Pre k junior golfers

through the Mighty Mites program.


When the children reach 10 years old he shifts the juniors to the PNJGT which features parent

caddies to assist the 10 through 16 year olds with alignment and course management. For the older

junior golfers, 12 to 17 years old Phil does private lessons and he gets those interested in teaching golf

to help supervise and instruct at his summer and Spring Camps.


Phil Green's work with the special needs community has connected him with Special Olympics Golf

which he enjoys so much he encourages other PGA Professionals to join the coaching program.

Through his involvement with Junior Golf Phil has been awarded:

- PGA Player Development Award for the Northern California Section (2013)

- National Golf Course Owner's Association's "Best New Idea in Golf to Create Customers" (2011)

- Received Northern California Golf Association's "Youth on Course" grant (2010)

- Northern California PGA's Langley Grant (2010)
